Hiking boots? Tick! Water? Tick! Bloodsucking parasite? Tick! You usually don't expect to get sick, and certainly not due to something as small as a walk in the woods. Ticks: tiny parasites who suck your blood and make you sick when you feel most at one with nature. It sounds like a horror movie. The sheep tick that plagues us with Lyme disease, FSME and alpha-bile syndrome are all clearly the story's villains, but ticks are the evil henchmen. They’re eight-legged creatures that see everyone with fewer legs as food: a tick is an abomination.
